Reappearances is an interactive video installation conceived as part of the Oriente Occidente Festival, specifically for the Mart – Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto.
The work, designed for augmented reality interaction, aims to foster a participatory dynamic involving the community of Rovereto and the Museum's visitors. The core of the project stems from an artistic investigation of emotional memory systems, particularly exploring the possible connections between episodic memory, gestural memory, and biographical experience.
The goal is to develop a mapping of oral stories, movements, and gestures that trace a constellation of subjective micro-narratives gradually expanding, like a system of concentric circles, toward a broader narrative. The objective is to create a collective tableau that evokes the story of a community at this historical moment. The work was preceded by various collection phases, conducted through workshops open to the public and interviews with occasional Mart visitors.
