Exploring the New Silk Road, Oriente Occidente 2019 projects itself from Italy towards the East with a watchful eye on current affairs and the most discussed topics. From the knot of climate change to the management of migratory flows, from the lukewarm political thaw with North Korea to the psychological-social cages of the modern world, the Festival's programme moves in a pluralism of poetic visions. The aim is to engage the spectator with emotions, powerful images, aesthetic visions, instilling the seed of doubt and curiosity.
